Bolstering its offerings with the addition of Thunder Falls - a high-thrill waterslide that broadens its family entertainment mix - Adventure Park Geelong has been enjoying strong visitor engagement through the Victorian summer season. Opened before Christmas, the new attraction forms part of an ongoing investment by one of Australia’s largest regional waterparks to enhance its guest offerings ahead of peak holiday periods.

Installed in the park’s Thrill Zone, Thunder Falls is a twin waterslide feature designed to deliver an adrenaline-fuelled experience with a combination of steep drops, tight curves and dynamic water effects. Launching from a height of 25 meters, each waterslide is more than 100 metres long and sees sliding guests reach speeds of up to 35 km/h. The addition complements Adventure Park’s existing mix of high-octane slides and family-friendly attractions, reinforcing its position as a leading summer destination for all ages across Victoria.

The new waterslide - supplied by ProSlide - joins a lineup that already includes signature attractions such as The Krakatoa and Boogie Board Beach, offering distinct experiences that cater to thrill seekers and younger guests alike. Commenting on the addition, Adventure Park Managing Director, Bree Salmon stated “Thunder Falls is the perfect high-intensity adrenaline rush that families and thrill-seekers are going to be hanging out to try this summer.

“These slides are the perfect addition to our ‘Storm Precinct’, joining guest favourites the ‘Tsunami’ and ‘Tornado’.

"Summer at Adventure Park is all about creating unforgettable moments for families.

"With its unmatched mix of adrenaline, relaxation and family-friendly fun, Adventure Park Geelong continues to set the benchmark as one of Victoria's most complete and compelling summer family experiences."

Adventure Park’s diversified attractions strategy mirrors broader trends in waterparks, where operators are seeking to balance headline draws with broad-appeal experiences that extend dwell time and seasonal visitation. Thunder Falls’ launch coincided with the Bellarine Peninsula-based attraction gearing up for sustained summer activity, with its summer featuring extended opening hours, food and beverage activations and family-oriented programming through the peak holiday weeks.
