Saudi Entertainment Ventures’ first entertainment project is set to open this month in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

Seven Abha is located in one of the country’s biggest tourism hubs and has been designed to reflect the city’s cultural identity.

Costing around SAR1.3bn (US$350m), the project covers around 64,000sq.m and features eight entertainment zones, themed to brands like Play-Doh, Discovery and Formula E. The venue also features a bowling alley, where guests can experience Cyber Bowling, as well as a cinema.

Five million visitors a year by 2030

The development is located close to Abha International Airport and expects to attraction more than five million visitors a year by 2030.

Seven Abha will be the first of a number of entertainment hubs from the brand when it opens on August 5. Born out of the country’s Vision 2030 plan, which aims to diversify its economy away from oil, Seven is part of Qiddiya Investment Company, an entity owned by the country’s Public Investment Fund.

The company is currently developing 14 entertainment projects across the country, at an estimated cost of SAR50bn (US$13bn).
