The Dongjiang Bay Water Park in Zixing, Chenzhou, Hunan Province, China began its trial operation on June 20. With a total investment of USD11.74 million and covering an area of 21.78 acres, the project is anchored around the dual core concept of "water-based leisure + night-time economy". It plans to feature ten major cultural tourism offerings, including a water music venue, a water kart racing track, and pontoon-style ecological swimming pools. The centerpiece is a sprawling water music venue covering approximately 9.88 acre - the largest of its kind in China - designed with Dai ethnic architectural influences from Xishuangbanna, and will regularly host water-splashing festivals and beer music festivals. On-site offerings range from electric go-karts to floating river pools, with plenty of activities that blend excitement with family-friendly interaction - so there’s something for every age.

Leveraging the high-quality water resources of Dongjiang Bay, the project focuses on the "water economy" and innovative night-time performances, and will significantly enrich Zixing's night-time consumption scene. Once completed, it will fill the gap for large-scale water-based cultural tourism in the region and create a cluster effect with the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area. It will also help position Chenzhou as a world-class tourist destination, energize leisure consumption across Hunan, Jiangxi, and Guangdong, and inject new momentum into regional cultural tourism upgrading.
